An activity filled Valentine’s Day with new friends!

For Valentine’s Day, École St. Augustine School invited École Pakuashipi School for a wonderful day of fun activities. To start it off, we didn’t have to go to school until 9:00am. Less school is always a good thing! Then, we began the indoor kindness rally for elementary… We had 5 things to do but I really enjoyed playing with the PACE kids because I love playing with kids. We also had a grades 1, 2, 3, and 4 outdoor kindness rally…. There were 4 stations, run by the grades 5-6. We all really enjoyed running our stations.

Finally, the students and staff arrived from Pakuashipi. As soon as we got inside, we had a lot of fun doing improvisation. The two stars were Jaylyn Fequet and Kalea Driscoll. All the students had fun and had BIG smiles on their faces!

We then started the grades 4, 5, 6 and high school students’ treasure hunt for “kindness coins”.  I really enjoyed that because we had to team up with the students from Pakuashipi and met some new people.  After that, we had a nice healthy lunch of grilled cheese and vegetables but I can’t forget the good part….. DESSERT! For dessert we had vanilla ice cream! It was delicious!

Whenever we finished our DELICIOUS dessert, we started the grades 4, 5, 6, and high school students outdoor rally. For this part, we had to visit places in our community and do some random acts of kindness. I actually had a lot of fun doing that because I like helping people. My group took a lot of short-cuts and that was really fun, but overall I had a lot of fun and wish to do this again next year!
